At Instrumental Yoga in Jamaica Plain, yoga is more than a class. It is a way to connect with yourself and with your community. Each week, Vinyasa on Wednesdays and Flow & Restore on Fridays offer two ways to reset, recharge, and share space with people who value balance, movement, and mindfulness.

Wednesdays at 6 PM: Vinyasa
Midweek can feel busy and unsteady. Meli’s one-hour Vinyasa flow is designed to help you find clarity and energy through mindful movement. Breath and motion connect seamlessly in a dynamic practice that builds heat and strength to carry you through the week. It also improves balance and flexibility and grounds your thoughts so you step off the mat feeling lighter and more focused.
Students often describe this class as a midweek refresh, one that leaves them stronger in both body and mind.
Fridays at 6 PM: Flow & Restore
Friday evenings are for slowing down. This 75-minute Flow & Restore practice starts with gentle movement to release the week’s stress, followed by deeply supported postures that invite stillness and calm. Students often say this class sets the tone for their weekend, helping them sleep more soundly and move into Saturday with a clear, centered mind.
Meet Meli

Meli has been practicing yoga for over seven years and teaching ever since she discovered how grounding and transformative the practice can be. Her classes are welcoming, thoughtful, and designed to meet students where they are. Whether you are stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening a longtime practice, you will feel supported.
For Meli, yoga is about more than movement. It is about connection and community, about creating a safe and judgment-free space where everyone feels seen. Her goal is to help you discover purpose in your process while enjoying the journey.
A Neighborhood Hub
One of the most beautiful parts of these classes is the sense of community that fills the room each week. Students join us from Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, Dorchester, Hyde Park, and Forest Hills, creating a space where neighbors become friends and practice becomes a shared experience. Every class is a reminder that yoga is not just what happens on the mat but also about the connections we build with those around us.
