Instrumental Yoga teaches Hatha Yoga in Boston. This class is a dynamic 90-minute moving meditation, lead by a verbal dialogue. The instructor will give clear step-by-step, word-by-word instructions, so you always know exactly when & what to do in the moment. Concentrate, and mediate.

Class begins with a standing series (the warm up exercise) that includes a deep breathing exercise, stretching exercises, and balancing/strength building postures, followed by a restorative floor series combining deep relaxation between the postures. Every time you complete practice, your body is "like a fresh car off the lot, zero mileage." You will gain energy from practice instead of losing it. Yoga is a gas station.

Go slow! We do two sets of each posture. The first set is the "warm up set" to explore your range of motion and have a sense of where your body is today. The second set is an opportunity to either go deeper into your range of motion, or stay working where you are, while receiving guidance from the teacher to help improve your technique.
