Stronger at 70: Janine's Testimonial

"I've only been going to Instrumental Yoga for two weeks but I can already feel positive changes in my 70+ year old body. More strength, more flexibility. The studio is lovely, and Brian is an amazing instructor."
- Janine Zieg, student at Instrumental Yoga: now in-studio at Akasha Studio in Roslindale

Imagine giving yourself ninety minutes where your only focus is breath, movement, and presence. That is the gift of Hatha 26. Many students come to this practice seeking relief from tension, pain, or stress, and discover so much more: a moving meditation that brings both body and mind back into balance. Class begins with deep breathing, awakening the lungs and preparing you for the sequence ahead. A standing series builds strength, stability, and focus, followed by a floor series that opens, restores, and deeply revitalizes. Every posture is designed with purpose, working every muscle, organ, and gland while renewing the body’s natural energy systems. Beginners will find clear guidance and a welcoming entry point, while experienced students will discover a complete and powerful practice that continually reveals new layers of depth. The result is simple yet profound: improved range of motion, fewer aches and pains, and a more grounded, present version of yourself in daily life.

Meet Brian
Yoga found me at a time when I needed it most. While studying at Berklee College of Music, I was a musician whose love for playing was being overshadowed by pain. Spine issues and carpal tunnel made it hard to hold my instrument, and I was relying on constant visits to the chiropractor just to get by. When I discovered Hatha yoga, everything began to change. Yoga gave me lasting relief and opened a new path where I could take my health into my own hands. After graduating from Berklee in 2010, I became a certified yoga instructor in 2011 and have been teaching in Boston studios ever since. I have worked with thousands of adults, beginners, and experienced students, helping them move more freely, get relief from chronic pain, and feel more connected in their body & mind. Yoga transformed my life, and I am grateful for every chance to share that transformation with others. I can’t wait to meet you in class.

Yoga is more than just movement. It's community and connection that make life more meaningful.
